As homeowners and operators of a small family-owned business, we understand the need for affordable and safe residential tree services for our community.
Our mission is to provide and implement ethical, honest, and knowledgeable tree work for all of our clients.
Our top priority is the safety of our crew and your property.
Our goal is to deliver excellent service. There is never a higher honor than a referral from a happy client.
What We Do
Tree Cutting and Pruning:
Haphazardly pruning trees without understanding their needs can cause irreversible harm that reduces the health and longevity of the tree. We will provide honest evaluations and fair estimates for the best practices to meet your needs while preserving the health of the tree as much as possible.
Tree Removal:
Sometimes a tree has just got to go. In these instances, whether the tree is large or small, craftsmanship is critical to ensure the safety of all people and property on site. We have the know how to safely remove any size of tree in the most controlled and efficient way.
Tree Preservation and Cabling:
Tree cabling as a great option for those who are looking to add strength to the structure of the canopy. Cabling creates support systems for weaker branches that might otherwise need removal. We only use no-drill cabling practices to ensure the health and safety of your tree and property.
And More..
We also offer stump removal, tree felling, wood chipping and hauling, and free consultation and estimates. Learn more about our all of our Vancouver tree services.

Who We Are
Zach Lyons

Zach is a passionate arborist with a range of professional and safety experience. Read More..
Zach’s journey into climbing began after graduation from Northwest Lineman College in October of 2019. During college, he completed professional training in OSHA regulations and safety requirements, climbing, knots, rigging, utility lift operation, aerial rescue, CPR, first aid, and equipment operation while earning his crane operator license and Class A CDL. He took a job with the IBEW 125 out of Portland and worked as a groundman, driver, and operator. Through this time, he gained experience in site setup and adherence to safety procedures and protocol, while operating large-scale equipment, including cranes, and rigging materials from crane, boom trucks and loaders while installing large transmission line tower foundations.
In 2020, Zach used his experience with the union to begin his career in tree work. Over four years, he gained experience through employment at multiple tree companies in the Portland/Vancouver area, working in fields from residential tree work, to large scale commercial and municipality contracts as a lead climber, general foreman, CDL driver and safety supervisor. The skills gained through this process include everything from large scale hazard removals, crane work, lot clearance, proper techniques of pruning from building clearance to ornamental/orchard prunes, equipment operation including log trucks, stump grinders, various material loaders, and spider lifts, tree planting and selection, and crew management/oversight for compliance to safety protocol for worksite setup and training requirements.
His passion for providing professional tree care has motivated him to start up his own small business with his wife Amy, where he can connect with and help folks in his community keep their tree canopies healthy, and property out of harm’s way with affordable prices and ethical work practices.
Amy Lyons
Serial Generalist, Founder, Office and Marketing Manager.

Amy has a diverse background in helping companies and projects grow and succeed. Read More..
Amy has a BA in English with an emphasis in writing from Boise State University. After graduating from college, Amy took on the role of Sustainability Manager working for a restaurant company dedicated to creating low impact restaurants and building farm to table relationships and menus. Alongside the many initiatives she undertook, her greatest work of this time was to rebuild and remarket an urban vermiculture operation.
In this project, Amy reduced the company’s impact on the landfill by 80-150 lbs. per week with her colony of over 100,000 Eisenia fetida (red wiggler worms). From the success of the project, Amy passionately taught various classes on vermiculture and the scientific method, composting, soil heath, as well as food waste, trash impact, and food to table narratives. She created and managed community and school outreach programs to invigorate discussion and excitement about sustainability initiatives and the importance of caring for the health of world around us.
In 2018, Amy returned her sights to her original passion of the written word and worked as a freelance writer. In 2019, she found a new path that blended her love of writing, content, and storytelling with science and research and embarked on a journey of learning SEO (search engine optimization).
In her SEO agency work, Amy worked as a Content/Copy Writer, Social Media Manager, and Content Strategist for B2B and B2C companies of various sizes before landing her most recent position as a Content and SEO Manager with a financial technology company. Her enterprise role included optimizing and designing content and driving her strategies through multidisciplinary teams including data scientists, designers, developers, UX strategists, and content creators to deliver top ranking content products that drive conversions by truly serving the searcher’s needs. She also got to play in the AI sandbox and participate in hackathons focused on discovering and unlocking new solutions to enhance business operations.
Currently, Amy works behind the curtain at Heartwood Arbor Care LLC doing all things non-field work. She is also a part-time Writer and SEO and Content Consultant. Her most recent role and passion that excites her is her role as a mother – a toddler wrangler extraordinaire.
To this day, Amy and Zach still nurture a small worm box in their laundry room that they feed their kitchen scraps to.
